The Brokerslink Risk Managers Forum Jorge Luzzi is not your typical event. It's a unique, invitation-only meeting that brings together risk management professionals from around the world for an afternoon of meaningful dialogue, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic insights.
Designed exclusively for risk managers and risk management consultants, the Risk Managers Forum Jorge Luzzi is a truly open and interactive environment. It provides a dedicated space for risk professionals to speak freely, share experiences, and tackle the most pressing challenges of the day.
The Forum follows an innovative approach which includes a few keynote speakers and presentations, but these serve as conversation starters. The real magic happens when participants are actively encouraged to engage, debate, and explore the topics in depth. Facilitated by experienced risk management consultants, the event involves dynamic group discussions; participants break into smaller table groups to explore specific aspects of a topic, then reconvene to share their collective views and insights. This interactive model ensures that every attendee has a voice and can contribute to the collective knowledge.
One of the most attractive features of the Forum is its accessibility. While attendance is by invitation, the event is completely free for qualified risk managers. Participants not only get free entry to the Forum but also receive complimentary access to parts of the Brokerslink Conference, including the renowned gala dinner.
Previous Forums have attracted between 50-80 participants, with a deliberate cap to maintain the intimate, collaborative atmosphere. Last year’s session, held in Abu Dhabi, was focused on the era of ‘polycrisis’, including geopolitical crisis and climate change.
Theme for this year’s Risk Managers Forum
In Madrid this year, the theme will again be timely: business interruption in a hyperconnected and AI driven world, and what happens when the supply chain breaks. This theme explores the complex landscape of business interruption risk, examining how interconnectedness and emerging technologies like AI both complicate and potentially solve modern business challenges. Participants will delve into how organisations can build resilience in an era of unprecedented global interconnectivity, discussing strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and business interruption.
The Forum produces an executive summary of discussions, which is shared with the broader Brokerslink network, ensuring that the voices of risk managers directly inform the network.
Championing risk management excellence
As part of the global conference, Brokerslink also offers a two-day Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) course. Held just before the Forum, this workshop provides an opportunity for professionals to gain the RIMS-CRMP qualification.
The Risk Managers Forum Jorge Luzzi is more than just an event, it's a collaborative, fully interactive session where risk professionals can learn, share, and shape the future of risk management. By prioritising open dialogue, interactive learning, and cutting-edge insights, the Forum is a must-attend event for forward-thinking risk managers, and I look forward to once again chairing the session in October.
