Local expertise, global reach: three European brokers strengthening the Brokerslink network

As businesses continue to expand across borders, the need for insurance and employee benefits solutions that combine local expertise with global reach has never been greater. For specialist brokers, the challenge is not only understanding their domestic markets but also supporting clients wherever they operate.

By connecting trusted brokers around the world, Brokerslink enable businesses to maintain their local identity while offering clients seamless global support.

With this vision in mind, Brokerslink recently welcomed three new European affiliates: Everywhen in the UK, AGORA in Greece and Perks in Latvia.

At our Europe Forum 2026 in Porto, we spoke with leaders from each company about why they joined the network, how their markets are evolving and how international collaboration will help them serve clients in an increasingly interconnected world.

Everywhen Employee Benefits (UK)

For Iain Laws, CEO of Health & Benefits at Everywhen, joining Brokerslink was a natural step driven by growing client demand for international support.

Employee benefits is inherently a people-focused business, and many of Everywhen’s UK clients now operate internationally. As a result, they increasingly expect their brokers to support employee benefits programmes beyond domestic borders.

“We have many UK clients with operations overseas who ask if we can help them meet their employee benefits needs in those countries,” says Laws. “We were looking for partners who could match the quality and delivery we provide in the UK.”

After meeting with the network, the alignment felt immediate.

“It felt like a very natural fit in terms of culture, capabilities and ambition.”

International collaboration strengthens Everywhen’s ability to serve clients in two key ways. Firstly, it enables the firm to meet the expectations of multinational organisations. Secondly, it exposes the team to new perspectives and ways of working.

“Working internationally brings new ideas and new approaches,” Laws explains. “That enriches the solutions we can deliver for our clients and helps us anticipate their needs both at home and abroad.”

Knowledge sharing is particularly valuable when it comes to evolving topics such as wellbeing, workforce expectations and cost containment.

“Different countries and cultures approach these topics in very different ways. Being part of a network allows us to broaden our perspective rather than only having an inevitably narrower UK only view of the world.”

In the UK, the employee benefits landscape is currently evolving under significant economic pressure. Changes to taxation and rising employment costs are forcing companies to balance employee support with financial sustainability.

“Employees still expect strong benefits support, but employers are facing increasing cost pressures,” Laws notes. “Cost containment is becoming a major focus.”

Despite these challenges, the company sees clear opportunities through collaboration.

“Joining Brokerslink is an unrivalled opportunity to better serve our clients, grow as a business and share success with partners around the world.”

AGORA (Greece)

For Yannis Chatzikonstantinou, Director of Life, Health, and Employee Benefits at AGORA, the company’s name is more than just a brand; it embodies a philosophy of collaboration and connection.

“The name of our company, AGORA, comes from ancient Greece. In classical Athens, the Agora was far more than a marketplace. It was the beating heart of the city, a place where people gathered to exchange ideas, build relationships, conduct business, debate perspectives, and create opportunities together. It was where commerce met community, and where connections created progress.”

“Thousands of years later, the world has changed, but the human need behind the Agora has not,” Chatzikonstantinou says. “We still seek connection, trust, and growth through collaboration.”

What was once a physical space in the centre of a city, with ancient stones underfoot, has evolved into a global, digital, and interconnected environment. It was natural and truly symbolic for AGORA to become a member of Brokerslink

“Brokerslink currently has its own platform called Agora, a digital environment where partners from around the world connect, share expertise, place business, and support each other’s growth,” he explains. “In a way, we are all participating today in a modern digital Agora. This is the place where independent brokers come together with shared values, shared knowledge, and shared ambition. We do not simply grow individually, we grow stronger together.”

Chatzikonstantinou sums up the approach in a single word: “GLocal.”

“It’s the combination of global and local,” he says. “Through this approach, we can bring an international perspective while maintaining strong local expertise for our clients.”

By blending global collaboration with local knowledge, AGORA strengthens the support it provides to clients operating in an increasingly interconnected business environment.

Perks (Latvia)

For Guntis Zoldners, Founder and Insurance Advisor at Perks, joining Brokerslink aligns closely with the values of independent brokerage.

“As an independent broker, we value strong local expertise combined with trusted international partnerships,” Zoldners explains. “Brokerslink brings together brokers who share a similar philosophy around client advocacy, professionalism and long-term relationships.”

Although Latvia is a relatively small insurance market, it is highly open and internationally connected. Many companies operate across the Baltic region and throughout Europe, creating increasing demand for cross-border support.

“Many of our clients operate internationally, particularly across the Baltics and Europe,” says Zoldners. “Being part of Brokerslink allows us to connect them with reliable local partners while also supporting international brokers whose clients have operations in Latvia.”

Perks sees the partnership as a long-term opportunity to build trusted relationships within the network and contribute to international programmes.

“Our objective is to support cross-border clients and position Perks as a reliable partner for business in the Baltic region.”

The Latvian market itself is evolving alongside broader global trends. Businesses are increasingly looking for structured advice and long-term risk management rather than simply purchasing insurance policies.

At the same time, wider global pressures, such as inflation, climate risk and supply chain disruption, are influencing underwriting and risk awareness across the region.

“We see insurers becoming more disciplined in pricing and risk selection, while clients are becoming more aware of supply chain dependencies, business interruption risks and climate-related exposures.”

For Zoldners, joining Brokerslink represents the best of both worlds.

“It means combining strong local expertise in Latvia with a trusted global network of partners who share the same commitment to professional client service.”

Strengthening the network across Europe

The addition of Everywhen Employee Benefits, AGORA and Perks reflects the continued growth of Brokerslink across Europe.

Each new affiliate strengthens the network’s ability to support clients with local insight, cultural understanding and trusted expertise, while benefiting from the collective knowledge and collaboration of partners around the world.
