João

Germano

João holds a degree in Product Design from ESAD and a master's in Industrial and Product Design from the University of Porto. He began his career with an internship at Amorim Cork Composites, where he developed the in-house brand on an international stage.

After relocating to the UK, João dedicated several years to education, teaching Design and Technology at the high school level. Upon his return to Portugal, he expanded his expertise in Digital Transformation and in the telecommunications sector at Readiness IT, where he contributed to the development of a Product Unit.

João then joined Porto Digital, where he was involved in the creation of various municipal services for the city of Porto. His passion for communities led him to actively participate in the international Research Ops community, and he co-founded the national community, Design Research Portugal.

At Devoteam, João successfully managed cross-functional teams across diverse projects. More recently, he oversaw European developments for Edisen.
