Our Global Conference is the biggest event in the Brokerslink calendar and a tradition our Partners and Affiliates around the world look forward to with great anticipation.
Over the last 20 years, we’ve welcomed thousands of brokers, insurers, risk managers and risk specialists into some of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world.
Each year, the conference is hosted by one of our Partners or Affiliates, who each bring a taste of their unique local culture to the event.
In the run-up to our fifteenth conference in Abu Dhabi, we spoke to some of our previous hosts to find out what makes the event so special.  First up we have Grégory Allard.
Grégory is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Filhet-Allard, our Partner in France.  In 2019, Filhet-Allard hosted the event in Bordeaux, here’s how Grégory remembers the event.
 

What is your best memory from hosting the Brokerslink Global Conference in Bordeaux in 2019?

This global conference was very special for me because it is my home city where I grew up, and the location where our group is headquartered. I remember the incredible energy of bringing together over 300 delegates from more than 70 countries. The event represented a convergence of diverse perspectives, all united in the beautiful setting of Bordeaux, known for its culture, history, and world-renowned wine. Bordeaux’s charm, combined with the dynamic discussions at the conference, made it an ideal environment for fostering deeper connections. 
These personal connections were likely made even more memorable by the fact that this conference took place just before the global pandemic. It marked a final moment of face-to-face global interaction, making the experience even more special in hindsight. 
This conference wasn’t just an event, it was a milestone in our global collaboration and is undoubtedly a source of pride.

Can you explain why the Brokerslink Global Conference is such an important event for partners and affiliates and their clients?

The Brokerslink Global Conference is a crucial moment for partners, affiliates, and their clients because it serves as a unique platform for global collaboration, sharing, and networking within the insurance industry. For partners and affiliates, it’s an opportunity to connect with peers from around the world, exchange ideas, and explore the latest industry trends, challenges, and innovations. The conference fosters a sense of community amongst attendees, strengthening the global network that is central to Brokerslink’s success. For clients, the conference directly benefits them by empowering their brokers with cutting-edge insights and access to a wider array of expertise. The discussions and workshops help brokers better understand emerging risks, technological advancements, and new insurance products, which ultimately leads to more sophisticated solutions for our clients’ unique needs. 
 

What do you look forward to about the Global Conference each year?

It is mainly the opportunity to reconnect with international peers. After the challenges of the past few years, the return of in-person global events is more valuable than ever. I am also excited to exchange ideas on key industry topics such as digital transformation, emerging risks, and innovative solutions tailored to evolving client needs. The diverse perspectives from brokers around the world will offer fresh insights, helping to drive their business forward in an increasingly complex global market. Beyond the formal sessions, the chance to strengthen relationships with fellow brokers, partners, and industry leaders is another highlight. Networking during informal moments, such as the networking and the Gala dinners foster connections that often lead to future collaborations.
